T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) by Eric Henri Kennington ARA (1888-1960). [detail]. St Martin’s Church, Wareham, Dorset. The artist — a sculptor, painter, watercolourist who also worked in pastel — was the son of Thomas Benjamin Kennington, portraitist and founder member of the New English Art Club 1886.
