Tenniel depicts the Quaker reformer John Bright, who was leading the campaign for the Second Reform Bill, as a crossing sweeper (Like Dickens's Little Jo). Lord Russell asks, “Wel, Bright, what do you want?” ‘Johnny Bright” answers, “Anything your honour is willing to give me now.”
