Former Central Hall, Sheffield Workman's Mission
J. D. Webster
1898-1901
Corner of Norfolk Street (to the left) and St. Paul's Parade. This side, which faces the Town Hall, is perpendicular to Pinstone Street.
Harman and Minnis point out that this use of “warm-coloured brick with red sandstone dressings [is] an unusual combination for Sheffield where the buff Yorkshire and Derbyshire sandstones are much more common” (96). At the very right of the photograph appears part of Waterhouse & Son's Prudential Assurance Company Offices (1895).
