Among her many other famous men we may mention Richard Hakluyt, author of the “Voyages,“ Robert Burton of “The Anatomy of Melancholy,“ John Locke the philosopher, expelled by royal mandate on suspicion of disloyal intrigues, William Penn, the Wesleys, Sir Philip Sidney, William Camden, Sir Robert Peel, Canning, the Duke of Wellington, Gladstone, the Marquis of Salisbury, Ruskin, “Lewis Carroll,“ and the Earl of Rosebery.
